Legend has
it that some curious goats, as they grazed, came across a
wild shrub with bright red berries. After eating the
berries, they were very merry. That night, they didn’t sleep
a wink, and jumped around as though the sun hadn’t set at
all!
The goatherds were amazed, and very worried, so they sought
advice from a group of monks. The monks boiled the strange
beans in water and drank the hot colorless brew, and, from
then on, the long nights of prayer seemed less long and
tiresome.
